Sport AT
This model is no longer in production. This page is preserved as a historical reference. The Sport AT was produced from January 1990 to June 1991. It followed the Sport and preceded the Super Sport.

The Sport AT (Advanced Technology) was an intermediate-level hang glider that bridged the gap between the Sport and Super Sport generations. Produced for only eighteen months from January 1990 to June 1991, the Sport AT brought AT-series hardware and airframe technology into the intermediate market during the transition period between Wills Wing's 1980s and 1990s design lineages.

The Sport AT was available in three sizes. Serial numbers fall in the 17001–17333 range, reflecting a relatively limited production run. The model was quickly superseded by the Super Sport, which debuted in 1991 and carried the AT-derived technology into a more refined package.

History

The Sport AT entered production in January 1990, the same year that the original HP, HP II, and Skyhawk all ended production. This transition marks a clear generational shift in the Wills Wing lineup as the 1980s designs gave way to the 1990s generation.

The Sport AT's brief production run of eighteen months suggests it served primarily as a transitional design. The Super Sport, which followed in 1991, was described by Wills Wing as "derived from the technologically innovative HP AT series" and quickly became the definitive intermediate glider of the early 1990s. The Sport AT's sizes (150, 167, 180) were carried forward almost identically into the Super Sport lineup.
